In February 2021, TAG Heuer and Porsche formed one of the strongest partnerships ever between a car manufacturer and a watchmaker. After five successful watches that have delighted fans of both brands, they now present their sixth creation: the new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing, a model that demonstrates the brands' enduring passion for motor racing.

TAG Heuer and Porsche share an intense past, an independent and powerful attitude, and a dedication to design excellence. For nearly 70 years, their paths have met and intertwined time and again on and off the racetrack. The strong and enduring bond that unites TAG Heuer and Porsche is due above all to their origins in motorsports, with the name Carrera itself undoubtedly one of the most obvious links. The Carrera Panamericana is a legendary race reputed to be one of the most dangerous in the world. It has inspired both brands: Porsche took its first class victory at the 1954 Carrera Panamericana and named its most powerful model after it; Jack Heuer decided to name his new chronograph after it in 1963, after hearing the race's evocative name from the Rodríguez brothers at Sebring in 1962.
The Porsche 911 Carrera and the TAG Heuer Carrera have since become icons, recently celebrated in Paris on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Porsche Carrera 911 RS 2.7. Having already shared several memorable achievements and the pride of a fruitful collaboration, it is only natural that the two partners decided to create a new special edition of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph as a perfect symbol of their racing heritage.

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing model is inspired by the famous TAG Heuer Carrera Sport Chronograph and is the successor to the TAG Heuer Carrera x Porsche Limited Edition. It maintains the quality and performance offered by the in-house Calibre Heuer 02, a movement entirely manufactured at TAG Heuer's Chevenez facility and consisting of 168 parts, including a column wheel and a vertical clutch. These features enable exceptional chronometric performance and offer an impressive 80-hour power reserve.
The design of the TAG Heuer Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing maintains the unmistakable aesthetic of Porsche and, more importantly, of the racing world that surrounds the brand. The vibrant orange color, present throughout the watch, is inspired by the color of the sparks the car generates on the asphalt. It also nods to the color of fire, an emblematic symbol of speed.
The orange color can be seen in the Porsche logo on the bezel, as well as in the lacquered finish of the crown and in the graphic details present as small touches on the dial, which features azure-effect counters and an orange second hand.
Another key color in this special edition is black, which elegantly enhances the brilliance of the orange. To create this harmonious finish with exquisite touches of color, TAG Heuer designers used black with different textures and finishes.
The case has been treated with the highest possible quality: diamond-coated carbon (DLC), with an extremely deep and elegant black color and unerring durability. The black dial finish is inspired by kinetics and speed.
A legacy of the 2021 and 2022 TAG Heuer Carrera x Porsche models is the custom-designed oscillating weight, which pays homage to the Porsche steering wheel. Visible through the sapphire crystal case back, it is engraved with the “Porsche” and “TAG Heuer” inscriptions and features black and orange accents, just like the column wheel, lending a harmonious unity to the design of this new timepiece.
Finally, the strap, made of carbon-like calfskin—a black color that highlights the vibrant orange—is the perfect finishing touch for the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing. Its stitching is a subtle nod to Porsche seat upholstery, with the striking contrast of the orange stitching and lining also alluding to the marks left by high-speed racing cars.
Produced as a special edition, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing watch is presented in a black case with bright orange details, specially designed for the TAG Heuer x Porsche brand.
Available from February 2023, the new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing will be available in TAG Heuer boutiques, on tagheuer.com and at selected retailers.
