Normally, Zenith's El Primero needs no introduction, but this reference 96.2260.4061 deserves one. Measuring 45 mm in width, this El Primero was created in 2015 as a limited edition in homage to the legendary English rock band, the Rolling Stones. Crafted from brushed titanium, the DLC case features a cut-out lug design, low-profile rectangular pushers, and a stealthy aesthetic matched only by its dial. Forget the tricolor subdials the El Primero is famous for—here they're completely black. In fact, the hands, dial, thick raised hour markers, chapter ring, and lume are all finished in black. Light gray minute markers and subdial registers are added to provide a level of legibility, as well as scattered pops of red on the hands. For the most part, though, this is a watch with a dark personality. The automatic column-wheel chronograph movement powering this watch is the El Primero 4061. With 50 hours of power, this 5Hz movement can be enjoyed through the open-heart display dial at ten o'clock, or through the caseback, where the Rolling Stones' iconic tongue and lips logo can be seen on the rotor.
