When the first Black Bay Bronze models were introduced in 2016, the market at large witnessed the latest evolution of the already incredibly popular series. Taking everything people already loved about the Black Bay design family—namely its large Oyster-adjacent case, vintage-inspired aesthetic, snowflake-shaped hands, and more—Tudor tweaked the design for lasting novelty, introducing a bronze case material, Arabic numerals on the dial, and a few new color combinations. Though crafted from bronze, the watch is still essentially a Black Bay, with plenty of historically inspired curiosities on the outside. As such, it features a 43mm by 14mm case, with a large, guardless crown and 200 meters of water resistance. On the dial, the aforementioned Arabic numerals are a signature feature of the series, positioned at each quarter position for quick readability within its otherwise thoroughly period-influenced look. Inside, the Tudor caliber MT5601 powers the bronze timepiece, boasting a 70-hour power reserve and protected by a solid caseback that helps the watch easily transition into an everyday timepiece.
