This watch is also equipped with advanced Multi-Band 6 technology that receives standard radio waves from six stations around the world. The metal case and screw-down caseback are made of DLC (diamond-like coating) for improved wear resistance, and the screw-down caseback is also mirror-treated for a luxurious finish. The resin strap uses a soft urethane for a comfortable fit. Evolving from the original G-SHOCK design launched in 1983, the GW5000U-1 is a demanding model that boasts technology and high-quality craftsmanship.
