Richard Mille, one of the world's most prestigious luxury watch brands, has launched its first women's sports watch: the RM 07-04 Automatic Sport. For this launch, the brand partnered with six elite athletes (Aurora Straus, Margot Laffite, Nelly Korda, Nafi Thiam, Yuliya Levchenko, and Ester Ledecká) to develop the timepiece. These include two motorsports icons, the world's number two female golfer, two track and field stars, and a triple Olympic Winter Games gold medalist in skiing and snowboarding.

RM Creative and Development Director Cécile Guenat was the mastermind behind the RM Bon Bon collection and the RM 71-02 Automatic Tourbillon Talismans. She captured the importance of style in the context of this release, saying, "Color is very present in sportswear, but beyond the sportiness of this watch, we imagined this watch for a broader lifestyle context."

The RM 07-04 houses the most compact automatic movement ever produced by Richard Mille. The highly skeletonized, shock-resistant CRMA8 caliber provides hours and minutes and also includes a function selector located at 4 o'clock for selecting the winding, neutral, and manual adjustment functions. It also boasts nearly 50 hours of power reserve, powered by a platinum rotor.

The plate and bridges, which create a super-angular and graphic look, are made of grade 5 titanium, completed with a black PVD treatment. Grade 5 titanium is a highly corrosion-resistant and remarkably rigid alloy frequently used in the aerospace, aircraft, and automotive industries. Here, of course, all angles are hand-polished, milled, and shot-peened.
The extreme skeletonization is a technical achievement but also an aesthetic choice, and the visual complexity contrasts with the bold colors of the cases. Like most RMs, it's an incredibly striking and angular design, but the TPT quartz-colored cases seem to soften the supergraphic quality.

In short, the RM 07-04 Automatic Sport is a technical and striking sports watch, yet also elegant and modern, weighing just 36 grams and designed to fit the lifestyle of today's women. Richard Mille has achieved a perfect balance between form and function with this release, making it a dream watch for any woman looking for a high-quality, high-performance sports watch.
Currently available at Richard Mille stores for approximately $185,000 USD.
