Like every year, the arrival of summer coincides with the great motorsport festival in Chile: The Festival of Speed, organized at the Codegua circuit by the guys from Cars & Coffee – @carsandcoffeechile .
» In the cover image: Our Daniel Pinto (note the LOFT sweatshirt even though the temperature is still 35°C) showing off his Cartier Santos Chronograph alongside Caco, from Ross Car Boutique , with his Perrelet Retrograde, and his Porsche GT2 with Akrapovich exhaust.
The GULF livery is always present near the slopes
During the sweltering summer day, with temperatures over 30 degrees, we saw some of the world's most incredible cars in a relaxed atmosphere, where the atmosphere permeated from the track to the parking lot. And where there are beautiful cars, we know what else there is, right? That's right, as you guessed, there were plenty of spectacular watches on the wrists of the participating drivers, and even the spectators.
Even Briston, a French watch brand that is just entering the country, was present as one of the event's main sponsors , demonstrating that the connection between the watch and automotive worlds is stronger than ever.
Here we show you some of the watches that we were able to discover and their proud owners.
BMW Z4 tuned with a radical widening kit, roll cage, and competition slicks. Brutal! We ran into talented former soccer player Pedro Morales , who surprised us with this Hublot Big Bang with a brilliant-cut bezel. Technical, yet eye-catching, just like his playing style. The always lively chef Max Cabezón , and his inseparable Omega Seamaster Diver 300, a gift from his (lucky) father. GTR... Nothing more to say. An IWC Aquatimer Chronograph, the ideal summer watch, perfectly matching its owner's black and white look (his black McLaren 620 also matched perfectly). Perrelet with its retrograde display, an automotive watch that we rarely have the pleasure of seeing in person, perfectly combined by Caco with its full black GT3. Rolex Submariner Date and a white T-shirt. Perhaps the ultimate summer look. What was once a Subaru STI is now a full-track attack Kamikaze with slicks and a matte military green look. Oh, yes! It's yellow, it's '80s, it's a Ferrari, and it's simply sensational. Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra in the Mercedes AMG VIP Box. Timeless style, rarely seen in steel and gold. It's impossible not to love this series of racing Speedmasters from the 1990s. This yellow-faced Racing car stood out alongside a very special car. Blue on blue on blue. The new Omega Seamaster Diver 300 in chronograph format with its unmistakable wave dial. Another great watch to kick off summer.
