Fratello's Predictions

Watch website Fratello predicts new releases from Tudor, Rolex, Zenith, and Vacheron Constantin. The team speculates that the star watch of the event could be the 70th Anniversary Submariner, and while its appearance is a mystery, it may feature a brown dial with a light blue ceramic bezel. Additionally, they presented images of a new version of Rolex's Milgauss, two versions of Vacheron Constantin's flagship 222 watch, a new version of Tudor's Pelagos model, and a new Rainbow model from Zenith. Tudor is expected to introduce a dark blue Pelagos 39 model, a contemporary version of the original black model.
On the other hand, the Rolex Milgauss 126400GV prediction is based on the use of the same caliber 3230 and the possibility of offering a white dial and a black dial with a green sapphire crystal. Fratello also believes Zenith should introduce a new version of the Chronomaster El Primero Rainbow Flyback, albeit based on the Chronomaster series and not the Sport model with a ceramic bezel. Finally, the specialist media outlet expects Vacheron Constantin to launch a new version of the 222 model in steel and steel and gold.
Monochrome Predictions

One of the Monochrome team's predictions is that Rolex will release a new edition of the Submariner Date in titanium to celebrate the 70th anniversary of this iconic sports watch. The new edition would be based on the current 41mm model with the caliber 3235, but would incorporate RLX titanium for the case and bracelet, as well as a full blue color scheme for the dial and bezel. This would result in a lightweight and elegant diving watch that would be a stunning addition to the Rolex collection.
Another interesting prediction from Monochrome is that Rolex will introduce a special edition of the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona with a different color combination: an 18k white gold case and bracelet with a green Cerachrom bezel and a green dial. This bold and distinctive color combination, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona, could be a hit in stores.
Monochrome also predicts a complete update of the Daytona with the reference 126520, as the model hasn't changed significantly since the launch of the 116520 in 2000. An evolution rather than a revolution in design is expected, with a 41mm diameter, a wider bracelet, and thinner lugs. Additionally, the steel bezel is expected to return as an option alongside the Cerachrom bezel, and the panda dial with all-black counters, similar to the 116520.
Chrono24 Predictions

Kristian Haagen, one of the most influential experts in the watch world, has made some predictions about what we might see at the upcoming Watches and Wonders 2023. At this event, watch lovers will be able to enjoy a complete experience that can be enjoyed both in person and online. In this regard, Haagen expects to see a greater presence of watches made of titanium, a strong and lightweight material that is increasingly present in the watch industry. He also expects to see some new developments from some brands in particular.
Among the brands Haagen is paying particular attention to is Vacheron Constantin. The expert hopes to see an all-steel version of the 222 model, which was relaunched last year in gold. Furthermore, Haagen is also interested in seeing the addition of a chronograph to the brand's FiftySix collection. Similarly, he expects Panerai to introduce a new version of the Radiomir with the so-called "dot" on the dial, a feature the brand hasn't seen since the 1930s. Finally, Haagen hopes to see a new version of Cartier's Tank Cintrée, an iconic watch that has been on the market since 1921.
Watchfinder & Co. Predictions

2023 will be a big year for Rolex due to the anniversaries celebrating some of its most iconic models. The Submariner turns 70 this year, which may mean new platinum interpretations. The Daytona is also celebrating its 60th anniversary, and while its name didn't appear on the dial until 1965, a luxury jewel-encrusted reference is expected. Additionally, the anniversary of the successful 1953 ascent of Everest by a team of British explorers, whose Rolex watches played a significant role, may also lead to a special Explorer release.
Watchfinder & Co. expert Andrew Morgan has some less predictable suggestions than other analysts. He expects Rolex to introduce a new addition to its GMT line with a red bezel, dubbed "Coke." He also expects a special anniversary line for the Explorer, Submariner, and Daytona, and predicts the future of the Milgauss. Morgan believes the brand may follow the trend set by Tudor and use titanium in its designs to celebrate the anniversaries of its iconic models. He also suggests that Rolex could use more yellow gold in its watches, especially the Explorer II, to give them a more glamorous look.
