The story of the 1975 Skin Diver
Scuba diving , freediving , and skin diving watches of the 1970s were casual timepieces, featuring brightly colored dials for high contrast and easy readability, large bezels with broad numerals, and high-profile sapphire crystals. Striving for comfort and practicality, these 1970s watches never exceeded 40 mm in case diameter.
Like the original watches, the 1975 Skin Diver is designed as a sleeker take on the heavyweight dive watch: the perfect blend of ruggedness and style. Created to be comfortable and practical for everyday wear compared to its larger siblings, the 1975 Skin Diver was developed to be well-suited to both water sports and urban life.
The Dan Henry 1975 is available in two diameters: 39 mm and 37 mm, and with orange, white, black, or gold dials. You can also choose between a high-beat automatic movement or a mechanical-quartz movement with its traditional sweep seconds hand.
It comes with a high-performance FKM rubber strap, or an optional stainless steel bracelet.
