The watches we wear most in 2021
LOFTThis year, and for the first time, we want to share with you the watches that we, the LOFT team members, used the most during 2021.
In the midst of a global pandemic, even with many days spent working from home, we've rediscovered the beauty of simplicity, the importance of comfort, and the value of rediscovering our collection instead of continuing to expand it. Regardless of the watch's origin or circumstance, the only rule was simple: only choose the watch that has actually been on our wrist the most days. What we discovered wasn't what we expected, and we're sure that by doing the exercise you'll also be surprised and learn something about yourselves. Without further ado, here are the chosen ones.

"While I have more elegant watches, like my steel/gold Datejust , or more utilitarian ones like my Tissot PRC200 , my work as a dentist naturally led me to consistently choose, day after day, the Omega Constellation reference 123.10.27.60.02.001 as my favorite watch of 2021.
Its iconic, sleek look adds a touch of style to my clinical attire, but its compact size (29 mm), stainless steel case, and water resistance also make it an indestructible companion, ready for any adventure the day brings. It doesn't look out of place at the gym, its satin finish allows it to discreetly wear everyday lines, and the high legibility of the dial is very useful for always keeping track of the time and allowing me to be on time for all my patient appointments.
It's a watch that can be worn to any social event, but doesn't require any special care the rest of the day. Because of this, I'm sure it will continue to be my most-worn watch in 2022.

"My companion in adventures and passions during 2021 was my Apple Watch Series 3. An imperceptible aluminum device on the wrist that controls even the smallest detail in every millisecond.
In cellular mode, it offers a unique user experience, allowing you to go running with it on your wrist and enjoy your favorite playlist for hours on end. With its 44-inch display, it makes it easy to monitor your physical stats, alert you, and control your workouts, without ever losing sight of your daily goals and demands.
Thanks to its accurate oxygen measurement, it has saved me from several scares due to the global virus we're experiencing. A faithful companion in great challenges.
Álvaro – Marketing Director
"Hands down, the Casio F-91W . Why? For a few reasons. I've always had slim wrists, so I needed a watch that didn't look too big. For this reason, I got used to wearing it on my right hand since my watches felt loose on my other wrist, so a mechanical watch was out of the question.
The other reason is that I'm very forgetful, so I'm constantly at risk of leaving things anywhere, and I needed a watch that I could replace without any hassle.
And finally, I'm not one to take care of objects, I use them until they give no more, so I save myself the guilt of breaking or scratching a valuable watch."
Fernando – Technology Director
"During this year, every time I went through my watch boxes without knowing in advance what kind of watch I wanted to wear, I ended up wearing the Casio G-Shock DW5600 . There were days when I knew in advance that this G-Shock was the one to choose, due to its sturdiness, water resistance, and legibility. But most of the time it was a choice by elimination, based on the famous versatility of this watch, which often makes you not even think about wearing anything else on your wrist.
I'm a fan of both Casio and G-Shock, and I have several iconic pieces in my collection, but I feel the DW5600 sits somewhere in between the Tokyo house and other, more expensive, more established brands. For this reason, it can rub shoulders with Submariners , Seamasters , and Tanks in offices and meetings without fading, but it's also the best option when you get home, take off your shoes, and want to relax, have a wine, a beer, or a Jack.
Daniel – Commercial Director
"This year, I sold some pieces from my collection to downsize and focus on fewer, but truly intentional, watches. That's why I bought a 2020 Rolex Submariner 116610 , which never left my wrist for months. I even slept with it several nights, in addition to accompanying me on the few trips that were possible during this pandemic-hit 2021. Its main appeal is its versatility, being a design that looks just as good in a swimsuit in the pool as it does in a suit at the office, and its indestructible nature allows me to wear it to the gym, playing sports, and all day long, without fear of it getting damaged.
I would be lying if I didn't mention that the brand is also important, and I feel that a Rolex would be a nice milestone to commemorate the year in which this little project of love called LOFT came of age and came into the world, a year full of successes that I will never forget and that will forever be captured in this piece of 904L steel."
