1. Collector's Guide: Seiko 6138 Chronograph
The 1970s were a golden age for mechanical chronographs. From the iconic racing chronographs produced by Heuer to the austere military chronographs produced by Hamilton, Precista, and CWC, the decade produced an incredible number of unique vintage pieces.
Chronographs from this era are defined by their intricate dials with colorful details, bold angular case shapes, and innovative mechanical movements. There's something about the original designs from the 1970s that appeals to many vintage collectors.
However, some of the coolest vintage chronographs currently on the pre-owned market come from Japan, especially Seiko. During the 1970s, Seiko released dozens of automatic chronograph models, most notably its 6138 (double sub-register) and 6139 (single sub-register) lines. From this group came several watches that have since become cult classics for collectors, with memorable nicknames like "Pogue," "Bullhead," and "Kakume."

2. Luis Miguel's Watches: The Series (Part 1)
It's the series everyone's talking about, the one that keeps us glued to the television every Sunday singing at the top of our lungs to the hits that made us dance and cry in the 90s, and that have been revived by Diego Boneta and his masterful portrayal of Luis Miguel in the series of the same name.
The action takes place parallel between 1995 and 2007, showing key moments in the singer's career and life, and giving us a wide repertoire of heroes and villains who accompany him throughout his life. And in all the eras portrayed in the series, we were surprised to recognize a number of interesting watches, mainly Rolexes , which the production team expertly assigned to the years corresponding to each scene.
If at first we see a young Luismi struggling to achieve fame, the watch that accompanies him is precisely an accurate indicator of his character at that stage. At the same time, when we meet the singer at the height of his fame and fortune, we also see how his choice of watch reflects this new status...

Good old Logan Baker wrote this entertaining post for Hodinkee , which we wanted to share with you in the language of Cervantes. Below are the best parts:
Unlike most other sports, tennis is a solitary activity. When you're on the court playing singles, there's no one with you. Just a racket in your hand, and perhaps a watch on your wrist. Perhaps that's why there's so much crossover appeal between tennis lovers and watch enthusiasts. Or perhaps it's all a marketing ploy to attract the attention of high-net-worth tennis addicts who attend major tournaments. Whatever the cause, there's always plenty of watch spotting during any major tennis tournament, and the final Slam of the year didn't disappoint...

4. Luis Miguel's Watches: The Series (Part 2)
After a first part where we showed you the best watches used by Luis Miguel in the series, this time we focus on what we saw on the wrists of some of the most important supporting characters around Micky .
While the production team must be commended for the excellent choice of some pieces, which masterfully match the personality of each character, it is also true that we found date errors, with watches shown on screen at a time when they had not yet been released.
Anyway, we've been having a tremendous amount of fun each week trying to figure out what everyone is using, and here are the fruits of our investigation...

5. The Underwater Giant: A look at the legendary Omega Seamaster Ploprof
As popular as the pilot's watch that emerged after World War II, the diving watch became a tool capable of taking us on underwater adventures, both real and imaginary, at a time when pioneers like Jacques Cousteau began to show us for the first time the wonders hidden beneath our oceans.
It was precisely Cousteau, together with Comex , the pioneer company in developing deep-sea commercial and industrial diving, who, after working for a decade with Omega and its Seamaster 300 , helped develop what would undoubtedly be the Swiss brand's most recognizable design: The Ploprof ...
