Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces its new ambassador, Anya Taylor-Joy
Fernando AldeaJaeger-LeCoultre has just appointed Anya Taylor-Joy as its ambassador for the House, debuting a short video titled "A Call of the Heart," based on a symbolic phone call welcoming her to the Grande Maison.
The video is inspired by a historic phone call that would have a profound impact on the Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture. In 1903 , Jacques-David LeCoultre called on Parisian watchmaker Edmond Jaeger to take on the challenge of creating an extra-thin watch movement, thus beginning a long and fruitful collaboration that led to the formation of the Jaeger-LeCoultre company.

It's a natural collaboration, given her family's interest in polo and her curiosity for watchmaking," explains Catherine Rénier, CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre. "With her ethereal beauty, her sensitivity, her talent, and her dedication, she embodies the values and style of our House."

Recognized as one of the most exciting talents of her generation, Anya Taylor-Joy epitomizes modern femininity. Her on-screen presence has a mercurial quality: she's mystical yet present in the moment; she's fearless yet vulnerable; and she's innocent yet dangerous.

Born in Miami to British-Argentine parents and raised between Buenos Aires and London, the 26-year-old actress received rave reviews for her debut performance in Robert Eggers' "The Witch" in 2016. A string of critically acclaimed roles followed, and in 2020, the Netflix hit "The Queen's Gambit" sent her career soaring, with her mesmerizing portrayal of Beth Harmon earning her a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Critics' Choice Award.
She followed this with key roles in Edgar Wright's Last Night in Soho and Robert Eggers ' The Northman and will next be seen in David O. Russell's Amsterdam with Christian Bale and Margot Robbie and Mark Mylod's horror comedy The Menu with Ralph Fiennes and Nicholas Hoult. Anya is currently filming the Mad Max prequel Furiosa .
Jaeger-LeCoultre: The Home of Fine Watchmaking Since 1833

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture has a very special connection with the serene setting of the Vallée de Joux. It is here that the soul of the Grande Maison was born, inspired by the breathtaking views of the Jura mountain range and driven by an unquenchable thirst for innovation and creativity. With all the trades gathered under one roof within the Manufacture, watchmakers, engineers, designers, and masters of decorative craftsmanship conceive Haute Horlogerie creations that combine technical ingenuity with aesthetic beauty and understated sophistication.
Known as the watchmaker’s watchmaker, the Manufacture has expressed its boundless innovative spirit through the creation of more than 1,300 different calibres since 1833, and it was this spirit that led to the birth of the Reverso in 1931. With its elegant Art Deco lines and distinctive reversible case, the Reverso became a classic design of the 20th century and one of the most recognisable watches of all time, today a symbol of timeless modernity.
